This beautiful and substantial personalised oak sign is the perfect finishing touch for your home. Like all our products this is hand made and carved to your exact requirements.
The large size comes mounted on solid oak stakes such that it can be free standing at the entrance to your house/driveway. Letters can be finished in a natural 'as carved' state or optionally we can hand paint each letter in black (other colours on request) for greater prominence We can also carve symbols (eg arrows) at no extra cost.
The sign plate is made from a single board of 30mm solid oak for increased robustness and strength. This is then joined (Mortice and Tenon Joints) to the solid oak stakes. There are a number of ways to install the sign, it can be self supporting in suitable ground, inserted into suitable metal stake posts or concreted. We are happy to advise on this if required.
The sign is finished with 2 coats of a specially formulated (OSMO) liquid wax oil with UV filters designed for exterior use. This ensures that the natural beauty and colour of the oak will be retained for many years to come.
Text is typically carved on 1 or 2 lines but will be dependent on your requirements. We don't specify a maximum character limit but please bear in mind that text will become smaller as the number of characters increases.
We can carve in numerous fonts so feel free to specify one if you wish. Our default font is Times New Roman.
Upon order we will provide you with some 'mockup' images of the proposed sign showing options for text placement and size. We want your sign to be exactly what you are looking for so will, if necessary produce further mockups until we gain your approval - then we get cutting!
Optionally the signage can be repeated on the rear face too with correct facing of arrows etc. Contact Us if you would like to explore this option.
There is some flexibility on sign size and we will try to design the piece to best fit the text however typical sizes will be up to the following:

Each Stake is: L: 900mm x W: 90mm x D: 45mm
